A respected prime residential contractor is seeking a Design Manager to join a flagship super prime residential refurbishment in Surrey.

The project involves the transformation of a grand country house under a traditional contract, with extensive listed building works, complex coordination and ultra high specification fit out. This is a long term scheme with significant design management input, particularly through the fit out and specialist package stages.

You’ll be working directly for the contractor, managing the front end of the design process and coordinating closely with consultants, subcontractors and the site delivery team.

• Managing the design process under a traditional contract, taking consultant Stage 3 information and developing it into coordinated subcontractor packages
• Leading design coordination for specialist fit out packages, including joinery, marble and high end finishes
• Reviewing and managing subcontractor design information and drawings
• Coordinating closely with architects and consultants with strong super prime residential expertise
• Supporting the delivery of a complex scheme including multiple lift installations
• Working alongside an established on site team, with existing design management support in place

• Please note that applicants are required to have extensive experience delivering super prime residential projects for a contractor, developer or architectural practice.
• Excellent technical understanding of luxury fit out, specialist trades and detailing
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to manage multiple stakeholders and consultants
