Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Security Installer to join our team in Woburn, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, and related low‑voltage technologies. This position ensures all installations comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.

The Security Installer works both independently and as part of a project team to support successful project execution and high‑quality service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, program, and verify the functionality of security systems, including alarms, CCTV/IP cameras, access control devices, intercoms, and associated cabling.
  • Perform site assessments, review installation plans, and identify appropriate materials, equipment, and methods for each project.
  • Run, terminate, label, and test cabling in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, wiring, and configuration issues in a timely manner.
  • Document installation activities, service findings, and system configurations through required forms, reports, and digital tools.
  • Ensure installations meet applicable codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide end‑user orientation on system operation and support the transition to ongoing service.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in a safe and organized manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and client site requirements.
  • Assist project managers and team members with project planning, materials management, and scheduling as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in security, low‑voltage, electrical, or related technical installation roles.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electronic testing equipment.
  • Basic understanding of IP networking principles.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to pass background checks required for customer facilities, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Massachusetts D License (Systems Technician)
  • Industry certifications such as ESA, NICET, or relevant manufacturer training.
  • Prior experience installing commercial or industrial security systems.
  • Knowledge of local building, electrical, and life safety codes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in indoor/outdoor environments.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed at customer sites, construction environments, and company facilities.
  • May require occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work based on project schedules.
  • Regular travel within assigned service region.
