We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operations, with expertise in programming and operating CNC lathes. This role is essential for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications and standards. The CNC Lathe Operator will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient production processes.
* Duties
* * Operate and program CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
* Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure quality control of finished products.
* Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on CAM programming and tooling setups.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the manufacturing facility.
* Participate in quality control inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following best practices for materials handling and fabrication.
* Skills
* * Proficiency in CNC programming, including experience with Fanuc controls.
* Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in manufacturing.
* Knowledge of CAD software (Solid Works preferred) for design interpretation.
* Experience operating various machinery, including CNC milling machines, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining tasks.
* Ability to use hand tools effectively within an assembly line environment.
* Previous factory experience is a plus, particularly in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
* Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for quality assurance.
