You will report directly to our Operations Manager, and you'll work out of our Woburn, MA location on an On‑site, work schedule.
As a Production Test Technician, you'll perform operational testing on a variety of moderately complex RF and microwave production components of varying complexity. This can include tasks such as set‑up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of instruments, RF and DC circuits, assemblies, components, and other systems and equipment. In the Production Test Technician role, you'll be critical to the successful production and technical support for our Engineering and other teams in ensuring our products achieve their intended functions and delivery schedule in a satisfactory manner to all of our customers.
You’ll use your skills to work on Low to Medium Complexity Hardware, under general supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Determine compliance to test specifications, using methods and procedures from drawings, standard work and diagrams.
- May assist in the selection and set‑up of specialized test equipment.
- May provide guidance to entry‑level production test technicians and support workers in the execution of production testing tasks.
- Measure medium‑complexity hardware.
- Maintain required certifications.
- Strengthen knowledge of CAES 6S framework and actively participate in 6S initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0‑1 year of experience working as a Test Technician in a manufacturing/electronics environment.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Time‑keeping system, ERP system, Routing, etc.).
- Detail‑oriented with good manual and eye dexterity (precise).
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges.
- Willingness to take on diverse projects and work with different teams.
- HS Diploma or GED and additional training or specialized certification.
- 1‑2 years’ experience working as a Test Technician in a manufacturing/electronics environment.
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or military industry.
- Good manual dexterity and experience/willingness to work using a microscope and small hand‑tools.
- Basic computer skills:
Utilization of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Systems, etc.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, small tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Sitting; at times looking through a microscope.
- Standing or walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Frequently required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Repeat the same movements.
- Occasionally lifting light items weighing 5 to 10 pounds.
- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
- Objects weighing 30 pounds or more must be accompanied by automation or a second person to avoid injury.
