Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager and Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate III – Milling is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products by mixing heat treat powders in an oven, weighing up materials, and then mixing and milling materials to assist other departments to make completed, finished product.

This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, batch cards, and blueprints to set up, run, monitor, and maintain ovens to heat powders (copper, aluminum, or glass) and mixers to produce high quality materials.
• Verify needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to use solvents for mixing of various chemicals to achieve product specifications with batch cards.
• Perform multiple mixing machine setups and operations to prepare, process, and inspect finished sheet or brick material made from mixed materials for optimal quality and output.
  
  Perform elevated machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.
• Sift, package, and label powders to bring workflow to completion for other departments.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, communicate between departments, and notify leaders and engineers of issues as needed.
• Work cross functionally in designated areas to support business needs such as compounds, milling, and non-chemical value streams as needed.
• Support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture through by assisting with training/ shadowing and filling out team improvement board information and/ or Star points.
• Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated area, which can include painting/ clean room environments, hazardous chemical mixing, material handling, and milling operations.
