Job Summary

The Key Holder is a key player in ensuring the store operates in compliance with the State of Massachusetts Regulations. Key Holders are a positive representative of Sanctuary's commitment to serve our community and are passionate about creating a positive retail cannabis experience for all who come to our shops. This includes facilitating a smooth and efficient customer experience and effective shift management of the team to deliver on that experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the store when an AGM or GM are not present.
• Responsible for the daily operations and oversight of internal audits, cash management, and overall regulatory compliance of the dispensary
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, Sanctuary's policies and procedures.
• Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
• Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Collaborates with other managers to set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with Sanctuary's plans and vision and communicate them to the staff.
• Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa

Duties/Responsibilities

• Works with staff while leading by example to increase efficiency, accuracy, and product knowledge.
• Receive complaints and resolve problems in a professional manner.
• Train new employees
• Upholds company standards for merchandise and presentation and ensures menu availability is current.
• Motivate and direct floor staff in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
• Ensure safety and satisfaction for all customers and patients.
• Oversee inventory and cash operations.

Education and Experience

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions.
• 1+ year of relevant cannabis supervisory experience
• Previous dispensing/cannabis industry experience a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
