Business Systems Analyst; Manufacturing

Insight Global is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (Manufacturing) for one of our largest clients in Woburn, MA. This role is a key contributor to the client’s business transformation initiative, supporting the migration from legacy systems to enterprise digital platforms.

The Systems Analyst will partner closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to elicit and document business requirements, analyze current-state processes and systems, and map those requirements to future-state system capabilities. The role will be hands‑on in configuring, implementing, training, and supporting enterprise solutions, ensuring reliable functional performance throughout and after implementation.

In addition, this position will support and maintain legacy systems during the interim transition period and enhance future‑state systems post‑implementation. The Analyst will conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and leverage data and reporting tools such as Power BI to deliver insights, monitor system performance, and support data‑driven decision‑making across manufacturing and operations.

This role requires a strong blend of technical systems knowledge, business analysis, project execution, and data visualization, with Power BI used to translate complex system and process data into actionable dashboards and reports for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Identify, analyze, and document business and technical requirements across manufacturing and operations systems.
• Evaluate current‑state business processes and systems, and map requirements to future‑state MES, LIMS, QMS, MRP, and ERP capabilities.
• Configure, implement, test, train, and support enterprise digital systems.
• Support and maintain legacy systems during the transformation phase.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational visibility, system performance monitoring, and business decision‑making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery within established SDLC and governance frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Additional experience with MES, LIMS, QMS, MRP, and/or ERP systems is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated project management or project coordination experience.
• Hands‑on experience with relational database management systems, preferably SQL.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI to support operational and system insights.
