How You Will Make An ImpactAptima is seeking a temporary, part time (20 hours/week) People Ops Generalist from early February through June 2026. You will partner with Aptima’s People Ops Team and various interdisciplinary partners to support our growing employee base of nearly 150. Our team is currently lean, and this is a great opportunity for you to have an impact on the organization, but more specifically with recruiting and benefits support.
However, you will have a unique opportunity to develop knowledge and skills related to all arms of People Operations including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
Since we move quickly and span across many areas, it’s crucial that all team members have top-notch written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. We juggle multiple priorities and tasks can change quickly, so being a creative problem-solver that can stay incredibly organized while being able to autonomously manage their time and priorities is a must.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit for a variety of technical and non-technical roles across the organization, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth internal process and stellar candidate experience
- Assist with employee benefits processes and questions, assist with the company compensation cycle, and handle any administrative work as it arises
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, updating documents and processes as needed
- Maintain our HRIS, ATS and other People Operations systems and data sources
- Some office manager tasks as necessary, such as ordering supplies, communicating with our building managers, sorting the mail etc.
- 3+ years in a Corporate Recruiter or People Ops/HR Generalist role
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to self-manage multiple administrative projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to follow through a sequence of events to meet deadlines
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
