* This role has responsibility for oversight of finance processes and controls for three entities, which are located in Germany and in France. The role reports into the Senior Accounting Manager.

The work consists of performing a subset of daily transactions and overseeing the work performed by one accountant in Berlin as well as the transactional work performed by an offshore team. Towards month end the team will prepare necessary reconciliations and groupwide reporting for the entities. Along with that the role is responsible for several external reporting deadlines that are to be monitored and complied with.

This includes but is not restricted to tax filings and statistical reporting.

The candidate will join a motivated team in the finance area, that works as a service provider for other departments, the managing director and the group finance team in Woburn MA, USA, and the offshore team. External communication partner will be mainly auditors and tax advisors in Germany and France.

** What to expect
** Commercial Finance
* Be a link between the various operational teams and the finance department to make sure business initiatives are communicated and integrated effectively within finance
* Responsibility for working with the Senior Manager Accounting on maintenance and improving finance processes and communication
* Other ad hoc projects as required to support business growth and improved efficiency

Reporting & Compliance
* Support the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting for the three entities
* Support the preparation of Annual accounts under local GAAPs (German HGB), French GAAP and tax returns and audits
* Perform and review of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations and general journals
* Review of payroll and finance related personnel matters
** Your Qualifications
*** Experienced accountant with first team leadership responsibility
* Fluent English and German are required (both written and verbal), French language skills would be ideal
* Experience working within international environment with virtual teams and differing time zones
* Experience of working under multiple accounting GAAPs (preferably including US GAAP and German HGB)
* Experience on large ERP system (preferably SAP)
* Open for change management experience
* Dedicated and ambitious, able to handle high work demands and shifting priorities
* Good communication skills with ability to concisely exchange information and interface effectively with employees of all levels and outside providers
* Open for occasional travels within the EMEA (France and UK) and USA#LDNI-remote
