• Position:
Radar Systems Engineer II in the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Department at Raytheon Technologies, located onsite in Woburn, MA.
- Define radar system requirements and design architectures and algorithms to support those requirements.
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation of radar system designs.
- Analyze radar system performance data relative to requirements.
- Identify performance deficiencies and propose solutions.
- Define and prototype new algorithms to enhance system performance.
- Present plans, designs, and system performance to peers, internal leadership, and external customers.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance (prior to start date).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in system‑level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance, and/or requirements development and design of system‑level software architecture.
- Experience with radar system concepts, including detection, track, and signal‑processing algorithms and their performance.
- Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools for radar requirements analysis.
- Interest in Information Assurance / Cyber Engineering requirements and implementation.
- Experience with AI/ML and signal‑processing in database and algorithm design and enhancement.
- Previous military service preferred.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or related technical discipline.
- Experience with Battle Management Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMCC4I) systems, radar systems, or signal‑processing techniques.
- Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, and tools.
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
