Accounting Manager; Hybrid

Overview

Accounting Manager (Hybrid, North of Boston). Our client is a successful and growing PE-backed consumer goods and services company located north of Boston. They are searching for a seasoned Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a hybrid role (3X onsite) and the position is offering between 115-130K base, depending on level and relevant experience.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including payment processing, refunds, disputes, and accurate recording of all transactions
• Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate general ledger activity, P&L and balance sheet review, and timely cash updates
• Administer and optimize financial systems and merchant services, including statement review, fee analysis, disputes, and system implementations
• Oversee commissions, payroll, and benefits administration, including compensation approvals, journal entries, onboarding documentation, and 401(k) administration
• Manage corporate credit cards, insurance, and recordkeeping, ensuring proper controls, compliance, and audit-ready documentation
• Handle intercompany transactions and reporting, including reconciliations, payments, and monthly reporting
• Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness, including inventory coordination and maintenance of organized financial records
• Partner cross-functionally to improve accounting, back-office, and operational processes

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3-6+ years of accounting experience required, public accounting experience and private industry experience highly preferred
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
• Ability to communicate at a high level
• Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule
