CPA firm located in Andover, MA seeking Per Diem experienced accountant. Our smaller size and the diversity of our clients allows for a wide range of responsibilities and exposure to a variety of tax products in this position.

As a member of our firm, you will have direct contact and responsibility for maintaining client relationships and therefore must have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and/or review federal and state (multi) income tax returns for individual, corporate and partnership/LLC, fiduciary, and exempt organizations.
• Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting and compliance services in a timely and effective manner
• Tax notice resolution and response
• Successfully initiate and conduct tax planning for clients with little or no partner involvement.
• Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing/meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax strategies.
• Keep current on tax laws, regulations and practices.
• Research tax issues.
• Perform GAAP Reviewed Financial Statements for several clients.
• Provide support for clients during IRS and State audits.

Required Abilities: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least four years of recent public accounting experience. Current and comprehensive understanding of income tax laws and accounting principles. Self‑starter who is detail focused and uses strong research and analytical skills to make independent quality decisions. Highly ethical. Knowledge of Adobe, Excel, and Word required. Quick Books & CCH Profx experience preferred.

Qualifications
: A demonstrated ability to self‑direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills fostering client and internal relationships excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
• Decisively executes solutions to problems
• Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Tax law knowledge.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• Licensed CPA or EA a plus
