Summary and PurposeIf you enjoy precision machining and want to grow your skills in a clean, world-class facility, this role is a strong fit. We host a 100,000 sq ft, climate-controlled facility with 3, 4, and 5-Axis CNC Mills, EDM Wires, manual grinders, CNC precision grinders, CNC Lathes, and more. Previous experience is necessary. You will also have the opportunity to learn other machines.
As a Machinist at Moeller Precision Tool, you will work in a highly technical environment focused on precision and efficiency.
Candidates with Swiss lathe, CNC Mill, or Wire EDM setup experience will be given strong hiring preference.
This is a night shift position.
Pay & Benefits- Competitive Compensation: Earn $58,600 – $91,520+ annually depending on experience, with overtime pay available after 40 hours and a night shift premium.
a) Starting hourly rates: $23.00–$32.00/hr (experience-based)
b) Typical earnings with overtime:
i. $58,600/yr at $23.00/hr assuming ~ 6 OT hrs/week at 1.5×
ii. $91,520/yr at $32.00/hr assuming ~10 OT hrs/week at 1.5×
c) Night shift premium and additional OT may increase earnings.

Note:
Figures reflect estimated annualized earnings including overtime (paid at 1.5× after 40 hours). Actual earnings vary based on hours worked, OT availability, shift premiums, and paid/unpaid time off.
In this Machinist role, you will be expected to perform accurate setups and ensure high-quality machining output across multiple platforms.
- Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
- Setting tolerance levels and speeds
- Translating the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
- Perform inspection on manufactured parts
- Basic math skills (i.e. – Algebra or higher)
- High school Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 8–10 hour shifts and perform physical tasks required of machining.
- Experience in CNC or manual machine set-up and operation
- Blueprint reading skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Previous experience with tool steel preferred
- Familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc preferred
- Nights: 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM (M-F)
A normal shift consists of 8-10 hours per day, Monday thru Friday. Mandatory Saturdays are required, but no more than 14 per year. Saturday shift is 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Overtime will be required.
Approximation of hours: 45-50 hours per week on average, up to 56 hours with more available upon request.
