Summary

The Production Control Trainee is a dependable, detail oriented professional responsible for supporting both office and warehouse operations. This position combines administrative tasks, customer service, and hands on responsibilities at the receiving dock. The role is essential in coordinating workflow between internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production schedules.
• Review the planner workbench daily to verify that jobs are launched on time.
• Track and manage the flow of work orders once released into WIP.
• Collaborate with the Production Planner to establish priorities that support customer order requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up to date information within the MRP/ERP system.
• Communicate daily with internal departments and external vendors regarding job status and production progress.
• Assist the receiving department with incoming shipments and perform general dock related duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain preferred.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (Syteline preferred), Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and basic data analysis tools.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
• Customer Service: Handles challenging or sensitive customer situations professionally and responds promptly to customer needs.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, customers, and management.
• Interpersonal Skills: Works well with others, shares responsibilities, and contributes to overall team and company success.
