Job Description & How to Apply Below

Remora is seeking a Strategy and Operations Lead to help build and scale our go-to-market motion across both our carbon capture systems and the CO₂ we sell. Partnering closely with the CEO, this role sits at the center of our commercial function, driving strategy, operational rigor, and day-to-day execution across deal support, prospecting, pipeline management, and closing. You will help design and implement the processes, tools, and operating rhythms that enable durable revenue growth while coordinating cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and legal to ensure deal readiness.

The ideal candidate is an analytical, structured problem-solver, ideally with management consulting experience, who thrives in ambiguity and can translate strategy into measurable commercial progress in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

We're building modular carbon capture systems for vehicles — turning exhaust into beverage-grade CO2 sold to breweries and greenhouses. We deploy in regions facing severe CO2 shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without tax credits or carbon credits.

We've partnered with some of the largest railroads and trucking companies, including Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern, Ryder, and Werner. We've now raised $117 million from prominent investors, including Lower carbon Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, and Y Combinator.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of Remora’s go-to-market motion across both carbon capture systems and CO₂ sales, working closely with the CEO.
  • Assist in building and maintaining sales processes, including opportunity tracking, follow-ups, and deal documentation.
  • Conduct prospecting and market research to identify potential customers, partners, and CO₂ offtake opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain sales materials, including decks, one-pagers, and supporting documentation for external conversations.
  • Help define and document early-stage sales workflows, templates, and best practices as the commercial function scales.
Execute
  • Own tactical sales support activities including follow-ups, scheduling, note-taking, and next-step coordination with prospects and partners.
  • Draft and update term sheets and commercial documents using established templates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in a CRM, ensuring clear visibility into pipeline status.
  • Support deal execution by tracking milestones, dependencies, and required actions across active opportunities.
  • Assist with preparation for external meetings, presentations, and partnership discussions.
  • Work directly with the CEO to support the end-to-end sales process, from early conversations through deal progression.
  • Participate in customer and partner calls, initially shadowing and gradually taking ownership of select accounts and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance, legal) to support commercial discussions and deal readiness.
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication across stakeholders regarding deal status, open questions, and next steps.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of sales operations and commercial coordination across the company.
Grow
  • Develop a strong understanding of Remora’s technology, markets, and customer needs through hands-on exposure and learning.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in sales processes and proposing practical solutions.
  • Build foundational sales and partnership skills through mentorship, call shadowing, and real-world deal exposure.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, go-to-market, business development, commercial operations, partnerships, management consulting, or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of management consulting experience.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present professionally to external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable supporting both hardware-related sales and market-based or…
