Accounting Manager

An established and growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key financial functions and support ongoing business growth. Location:

Wixom, MI

Salary: $140K plus 15% bonus

Hybrid: 4 days in Office, 1 remote

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management role
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry preferred
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit support
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department
• Lead the monthly close process and coordinate activities with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance functions
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and support audit activities
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
• Collaborate with financial planning teams to align accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Support system implementations and upgrades related to accounting and financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash reporting used by lenders
• Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline accounting workflows
