Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Wixom, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure proper accounting practices are followed.

- Prepare and post journal entries to reflect accurate financial transactions.

- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and compliance efforts.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve accounting processes.

- Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and company policies.

- Support budgeting and forecasting activities with accurate data and reporting.

- Assist in maintaining documentation and records for financial and operational reviews. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in managing month-end close processes.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.

- Experience with account and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.
