The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be supporting a private household near Burford, who is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper/Cook to manage all aspects of housekeeping and daily meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain all areas of the property to an exceptional standard, ensuring the home is always clean, tidy, and well presented

* Carry out all general housekeeping duties – vacuuming, mopping, polishing, dusting, and deep cleaning as required

* Manage laundry, ironing, and care of bed linen, towels, and the Principal’s clothing, including arranging dry cleaning where necessary

* Oversee household supplies and ensure cleaning products and essentials are well stocked

* Prepare and serve healthy, well-balanced lunches and suppers during the week

* Manage grocery shopping, kitchen organisation, and menu planning

* Care for fine items such as china, silver, and crystal

* Assist with ad hoc household tasks, guest preparation, and errands as required

The ideal candidate will:

* Have proven experience in a similar private household or environment

* Be skilled in healthy, fresh cooking with an understanding of dietary requirements

* Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail

* Be discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times

* Take pride in delivering a consistently high standard of work

* Be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work confidently on their own
