Our Witham depot is a key part of our network, serving contractors, builders, and merchants across the region. We’re now looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in ensuring the depot operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while delivering outstanding customer service.

The Role

As Assistant Branch Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the Witham depot. You’ll support the team, help maintain high service standards, and ensure the branch operates efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Branch Manager with all operational, safety, and compliance matters
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture across the depot
  • Overseeing stock levels, inventory accuracy, and general housekeeping
  • Assisting with staff training, development, and performance monitoring
  • Supporting the transport team to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient deliveries
  • Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Driving sales growth through excellent service, communication, and follow-ups
  • Ensuring all customer enquiries are handled promptly and professionally
  • Assisting in monitoring branch performance against budgets and KPIs

Experience in the roofing or building materials industry is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
