Protocol Education are looking to recruit a learning support assistant/teaching assistant to join an Outstanding Special Needs school in Witham.
The students that attend the school have a variety of special needs, including Autism and SLD. Therefore, personal care is required as part of this role. Many of the students are non-verbal, so strong communication is also important. A strong desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary!
All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge and support each pupil, no matter what their individual needs may be. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children is important.
This is a long-term, full-time position so we are looking for candidates to be available 5 days a week between the hours of 8:30am-15:30pm.

Responsibilities- Provide support as a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to students with special needs in an Outstanding Special Needs school.
- Support students with Autism and SLD; assist with personal care where required; facilitate communication, including for non-verbal students.
- Inspire, motivate, challenge and support each pupil; maintain a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning; build relationships with individual children.
- Fulfil a long-term, full-time role available 5 days a week between 8:30am and 15:30pm.

- Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay; temporary position with possible later permanent opportunities.
