We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team at NHS Ayrshire & Arran /
NHS Lanarkshire

The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing patient care needs, developing and evaluating care programmes, and ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
The post holder will carry out all relevant forms of care independently, demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff and student nurses. Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop programmes of care.
- Implement and evaluate care programmes, ensuring high quality care.
- Carry out relevant forms of care without direct supervision.
- Supervise and demonstrate procedures to other staff and students.
- After 2 years post registration, direct, coordinate and supervise staff to promote best practice.
- Provide cover in the absence of the senior charge nurse/team leader or deputy to ensure effective ward/department operation.
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
- Excellent team‑working skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time‑management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence if required.
- Fixed Term or Secondment for 1 year.
- Part‑time – 34.04 hours per week.
- Salary is pro‑rata based on part‑time hours.
