The Role
To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients. To act as a source of expertise on nutritional therapy to patients, general public, other health care professionals including medical staff and GPs.

Whatwe'll need you to bring
- Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Full UK Drivers Licence
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have- Degree or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.
- State Registration with Health Professions Council.
- Evidence of further training/CPD in dietetic practice.
- Post graduate training in Relevant Dietetic fields
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Experience of training other staff groups on nutrition.
- Evidence of involvement in projects/clinical effectiveness work.
- Interest and/or experience in student training.
- Evidence of working or clinical placement within an acute hospital setting
- Good knowledge of up-to-date dietetic practice.
- Knowledge of audit, standard development and supporting change in practice with teams.
- Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post
- Ability to use initiative.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise caseload/work.
- Flexible. Motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking.
- Basic IT Skills.
- Skills in group work.
- Networking skills
- Good presentation and training skills.
- Student training.
- Permanent
- Part Time
- 35 hours
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro‑ra‑ta.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in Dietetics within University Hospital Wishaw
