Overview
The Role:
To provide a patient administration service within the Health Records Department, which administratively underpins the patient’s journey to and through the hospital, both inpatient and outpatient care.

Whatwe'll need you to bring
- Educated to standard grade.
- A knowledge of health records gained through 2 years experience and/or qualification at SVQ level 2, ECDL or equivalent.
- Customer care skills.
- Computer literate and keyboard skills.
- Experience in multi tasking.
- Knowledge of Confidentiality and Data Protection.
- Knowledge of handling and moving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative (working alone).
- Good interpersonal skills including an ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff at all levels.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Note:
This is a fixed term post for a duration of 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
This role will be based in Health Records/GOPD/MAU1 within University Hospital Wishaw. Applicants shortlisted for interview may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
