Transit Driver

Namekagon Transit provides public transportation services in Sawyer, Washburn, and Barron counties in Northwestern Wisconsin. Initially founded in 1998 as a shuttle system for the Lac Courte Oreilles Casino, it has since expanded to operate a deviated fixed route service and offer transportation throughout the region. Namekagon Transit also provides Mobility Management services to address transportation needs outside of its bus service areas.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Transit Driver based in Hayward, WI. The Transit Driver will be responsible for safely operating transit vehicles, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers, and adhering to scheduled routes and procedures. Additional duties include assisting passengers as needed, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, complying with traffic regulations, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for passengers.

• Knowledge of regional routes and commitment to punctuality
• High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to follow instructions and regulations
