Warehouse Lead

Overview

American Berry's Warehouse Lead is in charge of our shipping and receiving dock. They load and unload shipments as well as review paperwork to ensure everything is accurate. They also keep our warehouse tidy and organized and stage loads for pickup. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, will be proficient in computer and inventory management systems, and will be able to conduct standard shipping and receiving practices.

This person should also be reliable, responsive, and communicate well. They must be a strong forklift operator able to load and unload trucks as well as move pallets around a warehouse and within racking. The ability to operate a spotter truck is very valuable, but not a requirement. If you fit this description, we would love to talk to you about joining our team.

Schedule:

M-F 8 am to 4 pm. Full-time benefited position with PTO, 11 paid holidays, and a competitive benefits package (health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and more).

• Load and unload trucks from docks.
• Review shipping and receiving paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Understand safety requirements and operate all equipment safely.
• Communicate with sales, purchasing, operations, and accounting to ensure timely paperwork and accurate information.
• Keep the warehouse organized and tidy.
• Communicate with truck drivers, being attentive to the trucking lounge to ensure they are handled efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Operate a forklift for long periods throughout the day.

• Strong forklift operator attentive to surroundings.
• Understands and follows all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Proficient in using a computer in Microsoft products, basic inventory systems, and shipping platforms.
• Good communicator with other departments, staff, customers, and vendors.
• Positive attitude.
• Can be on feet or moving around for long periods of the day.
• Is responsive and attentive to deadlines, schedules, and priorities.
