Job Overview

Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Terminal Experience, this position serves as the primary point of contact between DFW Airport and airline station management teams. Works directly with airlines to address concerns, resolve operational and maintenance issues, and advocate for their needs within both the airside and landside areas of the terminals, including ramps, and gate areas. Partners with internal Airport departments to coordinate and oversee timely responses to airline requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and communication flows seamlessly between the Airport and its airline partners.

Supports strong airline relationships, aligning internal efforts and supporting the overall safety, efficiency, and customer experience of DFW Airport.

What you will be doing:
  • Serves as the primary liaison with airline station managers and their teams, managing communications and ensuring timely resolution of issues, requests, and concerns, and maintains strong internal relationships with airport departments (e.g., Maintenance, Facilities, Operations). Oversees the completion of airline‑related maintenance requests, operational concerns, and equipment issues, by partnering with internal Airport departments, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
  • Advocates for airline operational and maintenance needs in Airport planning and decision‑making forums, ensuring partner perspectives are represented.
  • Partners with the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) on scheduling, hardstand operations, flight schedule adjustments, and gate assignments as needed.
  • Develops strong relationships with airline partners to foster collaboration, trust, and proactive communication.
  • Monitors terminal, ramp, and gate conditions to identify recurring issues, safety concerns, opportunities for improvements, and monitors the resolution of equipment functionality to enhance airline operations and airport customer experience.
  • In partnership with terminal leadership, supports internal communications efforts related to airline operational impacts, ensuring airline management and relevant teams are informed and aligned.
  • Prepares and presents executive summaries, reports, and presentations for senior leadership that highlight key operational and maintenance challenges, cost implications, and recommended actions to support leadership decision‑making and funding requests.
  • In partnership with the EOC and airport leadership, supports communication between the airport and airlines during irregular operations (IROPS), emergencies, construction impacts, planned outages, construction impacts, equipment modifications, and special operational requirements to maintain safety and minimize disruption, ensuring airlines are informed and supported.
  • Represents DFW Airport and the Customer Experience Department in forums, meetings, and cross‑departmental working groups where required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of increasingly responsible experience in airline or airport operations, facilities coordination, stakeholder relations, or an equivalent operational environment.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Special requirements:
  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
  • This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure.
