Repair Technician (Electro-Mechanic) – 1st Shift

Join L & S Electric, Inc., a certified "Great Place to Work" for four consecutive years, as a Repair Technician. Your work will involve restoring and maintaining rotating electrical apparatus while collaborating with a skilled workshop team.

• Work with other employees to complete general project needs.
• Refurbish and repair a variety of rotating electrical apparatus.
• Able to read job cards to determine job status and work to be performed.
• Disassemble incoming electrical apparatus.
• Perform and record incoming visual and electrical inspections.
• Safely operate and understand a variety of test equipment.
• Assist with the assembly of electrical apparatus under the guidance of more senior craftsperson.
• Receive additional training from higher‑level employees in other functions of the department.

• Able to provideokwu basic hand tools needed for the position.
• Able to wear PPE required for the position, as needed.
• Able to perform fine detail work with hands.
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Able to work for any employer in the United States.
• Able to work overtime as needed and at client sites.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
• Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
• Forklift experience.

• Electrical and mechanical background.

• Occasional lifting of heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
• Extended periods of standing and/or bending.
• Computer literate.
