As an Industrial Pipefitter employee with John Deere in Horicon, WI, you will:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair all factory pipe systems, such as water, gas, oil, and sewer in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and adjust all types of heating, ventilating, and refrigeration equipment.
• Make minor repairs, such as replacing or repairing pulleys, belts, valves and traps on ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair control devices for caustic and oil quench cooling systems, water cooled generators, tractor wash and gasoline withdrawal systems.
• Install pumps, nozzles, valves, traps, gauges, meters, regulators, filters.
• Regulate and maintain gas mixing inspirator, converting natural gas to BTU requirements.
• Install pipe for hydraulic systems.
• Install sprinkling systems and dry box valves and recharge fire extinguishers.
• Operate and maintain sewage disposal system.
• Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.
• Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
• Work shifts (choice of shift based on seniority).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have at least one of the following:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
• Journeyperson’s card in Pipe fitting / HV Maintenance OR at least 2 years of industrial pipe fitting / HV experience (or equivalent Military experience and training).
• Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability and willingness to any shift and work potential overtime (including weekends).
