Position SummaryAs a Fleet Mechanic, your main responsibilities involve performing preventative and predictive maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, trailers, and equipment within our fleet. This includes Ford trucks, various trailers, Toro mowers, Stihl small equipment, and Caterpillar and Volvo heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious and capable of self-management.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse your technical knowledge and skills with vehicles and equipment to minimize equipment downtime. This includes:
- Preventative Maintenance on fleet vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, and small engine equipment
- Gas / diesel engine repair and diagnosis
- Drive train repair and diagnosis
- Electrical repair and diagnosis
- Brake system repair and diagnosis
- Steering and suspension repair and diagnosis
- Welding / fabrication
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Vehicle/trailer/equipment maintenance experience
- A valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record
- Own tools or willingness to purchase tools as needed
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
- ASE certification is preferred, with the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
- Capable of self-management
- Experience with Repair Prioritization Systems
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to function as a vital member of a team
- Always maintains a safety-conscious mindset
- Pay ranges starting at $24.00+ per hour depending on experience
- We offer higher pay for ASE certifications
