Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to shelves.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and gather bascarts.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including spills and trash.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and assist diverse customer needs.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary
