• Provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service and support store management in assigned tasks.
• Follow and promote company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store phone calls per policy, look up parts and quote prices, recommend related items, and offer the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receivals, stocking, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks such as returns to distribution center, monthly stock adjustments, and inventory cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and company requirements are met.
• Perform in-store services for customers (where state/local laws allow) such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries and systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries if business needs dictate (driving record must meet company requirements).
