Quality Control Chemist - 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 2pm-1am)
The Quality Control Chemist plays a crucial role in supporting manufacturing by conducting laboratory analysis of raw materials, intermediate blends, and finished products. This analysis is performed using wet chemistry techniques such as pH measurement, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, and titration, along with advanced instrumentation including HPLC and GC.
Responsibilities- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality control.
- Conduct quality testing and document results accurately.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments regularly.
- Assist with the transfer of test methods.
- Train personnel on equipment usage and testing methods.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience
- Proficiency in HPLC, GC, pH measurement, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, and other wet chemistry techniques
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in HPLC, GC, and analytical test method development and transfer
- Familiarity with microbial testing and procedures
- Experience in contract manufacturing and testing
The position is based in a laboratory environment requiring adherence to safety protocols. Proper PPE including safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs will be provided and must be worn at all times. The role involves 75% standing, 25% sitting, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. The work schedule is 2nd shift, Monday to Thursday, from 2pm to 1am, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
Occasional weekend work or overtime may be required. Initial training will require some first shift hours.
This is a Permanent position based in Edgerton, WI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62,400.00 - $62,400.00 per year.
