Staffing: 2 RNs and 1 physician on at all times
Patient Types:
Mostly urgent care cases with occasional trauma
Patient Ratio:
Low-volume, community-based ER
The ER provides 24/7 emergency and urgent care services and serves as a critical access point for the community. Nurses are responsible for delivering high-quality professional nursing care in compliance with:
Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act
ANA Nursing Scope & Standards of Practice
ANA Code of Ethics
Bellin Health policies and procedures
Community involvement and interdisciplinary collaboration are strongly encouraged.
Requirements
License:
Active RN license or Compact license
Certifications (required at submission):
AHA BLS
AHA ACLS
AHA PALS
NIHSS:
Preferred at submission
Required prior to completion of orientation
Certification provided by Bellin (Apex Innovations) at no cost
Experience:
Minimum 1+ year
Prior experience in a Critical Access Facility or Level III/IV facility preferred
Charting:
Epic experience required within the last 2 years
