Overview

FLSA:
Non-Exempt. Technical nursing position for Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living, appointed by the Director of Nursing Services. Employees work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Schedule

PM SHIFT: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Full‑Time.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide care within the provisions of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Under supervision of a registered nurse, provide direct nursing care including administering medications and treatments.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new personnel.
  • Evaluate resident needs and assist with the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
  • Make clinical observations of resident conditions and behavior, and document accurate and complete nursing notes.
  • Work safely and follow safety practices and standards of the facility; report or correct any existing or potential safety or accident hazard.
  • Maintain residents' rights and confidentiality of resident information; report all suspected cases of resident abuse to the Administrator.
  • Determine and supervise work assignments to provide maximum utilization of Nursing Assistants; ensure assigned tasks are accomplished.
  • Prepare daily shift reports and notify supervisor of changes in resident status.
  • Attend in‑service education as provided or mandated.
  • Support all aspects of person‑centered care; respect and acknowledge individuality and uniqueness of residents.
  • Maintain courteous, cooperative and respectful working relationships with the public, clients, employees, supervisors and public officials.
  • Physical demands:
    Significant time standing, talking, walking, hearing, near vision, reaching, lifting up to 60 lbs; includes transfer of residents and operating wheelchairs.
