Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring night shifts and Epic EMR experience.

• Work in a Med/Surg swing unit within a rural hospital setting
• Primarily assigned to adult medical-surgical patient care
• Night shifts from 18:30 to 07:30
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float within the facility or to nearby hospitals according to skill set
• Uses Epic for electronic charting
• Rural healthcare experience is a plus but not required
• Submission to only one position within the health system is allowed at a time
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate according to the facility radius rule, which varies by state
• Standard hospital dress code applies
• Travelers may need to provide references and copies of credentials for consideration

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must have a US Social Security Number and a US home address
