Job Details:
• Work variable 12-hour night shifts in critical access hospital emergency department
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (13-week contract)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• No float requirements, but ability to cross train to medical unit if desired
• Minimum 1+ years of nursing experience required
• Previous experience in critical access facility or Level III or IV facility preferred
• Epic charting experience required within the past 2 years
• Required certifications:
Active RN or Compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and PALS
• NIHSS certification preferred for submission, required completion prior to end of orientation
• Work in 7-bed emergency department handling mostly urgent care cases with occasional trauma
• Two nurses and one physician staffed at all times
• Provide quality professional nursing care adhering to nursing standards and facility policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
• Dress code:
No bright colors or character print scrubs
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of the healthcare organization
• Associate degree or certificate required

The facility operates a 7-bed emergency department that serves as a critical access point for medical services in the community, combining emergency room and urgent care capabilities.
