Location: Johnson Creek
Master Mold LLC is seeking reliable, detail-oriented General Labor / Manufacturing Operators to support multiple areas of our production process, including press operations, secondary fabrication, paint line support, and quality inspection. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer requirements are met through proper material handling, equipment operation, cosmetic inspection, and adherence to work instructions.
Operators may rotate between departments based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Production & Equipment Operation
- Operate presses and secondary manufacturing equipment
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto fixtures and presses
- Weigh, arrange, and prepare fiberglass and resin materials per work instructions
- Maintain basic knowledge of press, fabrication, assembly, and paint line operations
- Maintain required production rates and follow daily schedules
- Deflash molded parts using pneumatic and manual hand tools
- Cut materials using utility knives and general shop tools
- Assemble hardware and components to molded parts
- Prepare and repair part surfaces prior to paint application
- Load, unload, and transport parts through the paint process
- Deliver parts to required workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts
- Perform color matching and verify paint standards per customer requirements
- Handle customer property carefully to prevent damage
- Inspect parts for cosmetic and functional criteria
- Identify and categorize defects such as dirt, blisters, scratches, and decal issues
- Assess parts for repair versus rejection
- Understand and follow cosmetic zoning standards
- Properly tag, log, and track parts using RFID and production tracking systems
- Stop production and notify leadership or Quality if non-conforming material is identified
- Follow all written work instructions, PSCs, and customer-specific standards
- Check off required process steps and ensure accurate documentation
- Support continual improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies or defects
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and company policies
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Manufacturing experience preferred (press, paint, assembly, or similar)
- Experience using hand tools and pneumatic tools
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (or ability to be trained)
- Strong attention to detail and repetitive task accuracy
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Frequent exposure to loud noise and moving mechanical equipment
- Use of air tools, hand tools, knives, and material handling equipment
- Visual acuity required including close vision, depth perception, and color vision
