The Production Assistant will support daily operations in our facility. This role involves assisting with various tasks, including preparing equipment for shipment, assembling parts orders, and performing custodial duties to maintain a clean workspace. The Production Assistant will also help the receiving department with incoming equipment and parts, assist the stockroom with sorting and inventory management, and ensure timely preparation of spare parts orders for shipment.

Additionally, responsibilities include picking up and delivering parts to local vendors as needed.

• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, inspected, and packaged before shipment.
• Meet daily and weekly shipping schedules with accuracy.
• Adhere to shipping standards and shipping checklists
• Build skids and crates for upcoming shipments

• Conduct and document daily forklift safety checks.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Maintain forklift and scissors lift batteries
• Ensure propane tanks are filled in timely manner

• Support technicians in machine sub-assemblies as required.
• Follow assembly guidelines and ensure quality standards are met.
• Assembly of parts orders
• Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of parts at local vendors.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and deliveries.
• Safely loading and unloading of freight

• Keep the shop, production floors, and work spaces clean and organized.
• Perform daily custodial duties, including emptying garbage cans and bins
• Perform weekly cleaning of shop floors with floor scrubber

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with common applications
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment
• A blend of technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with tools
• Ability to handle materials safely and follow safety protocols
• Understanding of inventory management and quality control processes
• Willingness to assist with machine operation as needed
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills for collaborating with machine operators and supervisors

• Forklift Operator Certification preferred (training provided)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
