Overview

AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to food service, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co-op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co-op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled cheese makers.

• Assemble carts and place cheesecloth and liners into boxes. Ensure carts and pans are thoroughly rinsed to remove soil/debris prior to the bottom washer. Clean and sanitize all carts and pans.
• Inspect and re-clean and re-sanitize if soil or debris is located.
• Load and unload carts into a vacuum chamber and monitor chamber to ensure proper vacuum pressure and time according to specification.
• Seal the blocks. Inspect, weigh, and tag carts.
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanup of equipment, keeping work areas organized.
• Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping. Adhere to all aspects of company and customer safety, sanitation and site policies.
• Assist with training new employees once experience is gained. Provide assistance to maintenance personnel for machine repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
• Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, Safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
• Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred. Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator license.
