Overview
Quality Control Technician - Utility Trucks at Custom Truck One Source (CTOS).
Location:
Union Grove, WI. This role focuses on ensuring manufactured equipment meets CTOS standards of quality, reliability, and performance, including Boom, Bucket, Diggers Trucks, aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections, dielectric tests, and tests on units to ensure finished product quality and performance.
- Document and report quality assurance issues.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with safety, quality, and industry requirements.
- Ensure units meet the required standard of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
- Prepare units for delivery to customers.
- Record data from test procedures and inspections.
- Support Quality Control manager with data and documentation of defects to resolve deficiencies.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair warranty issues pertaining to the unit.
- Comply with company safety, quality procedures and policies.
- Shop Mechanic Experience
- Knowledge of tools: hand tools and gauges
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical wiring
- Attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and follow customer specifications on finished units
- Knowledge of weights and measurements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Must be self-sufficient
- Ability to complete DOT, ANSI Crane or Bucket and Dielectric tests (highly desirable)
- Current crane and bucket certifications are preferred
- Performs work under extreme temperature variations and some hazardous conditions
- Must be able to safely operate equipment at heights up to and exceeding 100 feet
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42 inches; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; may occur over an 8–12 hour day and up to 60 hours per week
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Must have your own tools (mechanics positions)
- Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling; high level of dexterity
