An established food manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily creamery production and lead production teams. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient operations while supporting continuous improvement and new product development.
Responsibilities- Oversee and participate in daily cheese making and production activities
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and inventory needs
- Maintain production records, sanitation logs, and equipment maintenance
- Support product development and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth operations
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in food or dairy/cheese production
- Strong knowledge of dairy processes and food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours based on production demands
- Degree or certification in Dairy Science, Food Science, or related field preferred
