The primary role of the Slitter Operator is responsibility for setting‑up and operating a slitting machine to cut rolls of stock to specifications to ensure optimum safety, quality and production while minimizing cost, energy, and waste in our team‑based environment.

• Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and improving environmental health performance.
• Set‑up and operate slitter machines to meet efficiency, quality and waste specifications.
• Maintain visual workplace standards.
• Complete required paperwork including visual check sheets and run condition sheets.
• Monitor and maintain quality by removing flag defects.
• Operate hoists and pallet jacks safely.
• Meet established percent of target production goals.
• Generate and complete necessary paperwork and forms including AIMS.
• Actively participate in all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities, maintain WCOM changes and update machine/department boards.
• Practice safety in compliance with company and department guidelines.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• HS diploma or equivalent/Technical experience.

• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus to perform all functions safely.
• Must have the ability to distinguish color and pass a color blindness test.
• Regular attendance.
• Frequent interaction with others.
• Ability to work in a team‑based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbally.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists.
• Required to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift and climb frequently throughout the day.
• 100% of the time spending in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to wear all personal protective equipment as required.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling and bending.
