Final Inspector

Description
Since 1982, Sigma Engineered Solutions has grown from a single plant in India to 13 global locations. We specialize in highly engineered metal components, including machined parts and precision metal stampings. • Read work orders and production schedules to determine inspection specifications.
• Examine finished products for defects and sort defective pieces for scrap.
• Interpret blueprints, manuals, and data sheets to establish inspection procedures and measurement methods.
• Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
• Measure dimensions of products using certified rulers, calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, or CMM.
• Record inspection data such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content and input data into the quality database.
• Maintain production levels by finishing assigned work within allotted time and feeding data into the ERP system.
• Place scrap castings in assigned carts and report any quality or operational problems to the Production Supervisor.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company safety regulations.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of manufacturing experience required.
• Basic mathematical and arithmetic skills required.
• Understanding of mechanics and machine properties.
• Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
• Ability to determine machine operating parameters such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
• Comfortable working in noisy environments and able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.
