1st Seasonal Cutter Operator

Position Overview

Operate string extruders and string cutters in production area while maintaining high food quality and food safety standards.

6‑month seasonal position. Shift: 1st M‑F 6a‑2p.

• Operate RDS System and brine flume to maintain temperature and salinity.
• Report brine system, string extruders and brine chiller issues to production and maintenance department.
• Set‑up and inspect work area for cleanliness and readiness.
• Operate string cutters and frequently monitor extruded cheese to ensure proper weight and length specifications.
• Maintain and document daily cutter operations log.
• Communicate with packaging department about products and product flow.
• Communicate with production about products, product flow, product quality and/or concerns.
• Communicate with lab tech, maintaining proper product size.
• Work with sanitation to disassemble mixers, mixer pipes, string extruders and store end‑of‐the‑day product.
• Add salt to the brine system.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required or minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or less.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to complete forklift certification upon hire.
• Ability to learn and carry out lock‑out/tag‑out procedures as required.
• Ability to occasionally lift 10‑80 lbs.
