WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The EHS Specialist seconde the environmental, health and safety culture and expectations are adhered to at the Safe Foods (“SF”) facility by reporting, monitoring, training, coaching, and holding team members accountable. Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Partnership with SF Operations leadership to help drive EHS excellence among their teams.
  • Support EHS programs throughout the organization.
  • Reinforce strategic EHS initiatives within their division.
  • Maintain open communications with SF EHS Manager, and SF leadership regarding issues related to Safety, Health, and Environmental.
  • Work closely with EHS Team on a regular basis including weekly conference calls and team meetings.
  • Ensure SF Operations comply with all EHS related requirements from external customers, governmental agencies, and established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all investigations are documented with an action plan and that the action plan is successfully implemented.
  • Manage and attend all OSHA, EPA, DOT or other regulatory visits écht pertaining to SFCI business scope as needed, including site visits, complaints, and assisting the Senior Compliance Officer with informal conferences as needed.
  • Interface with local, state, and federal agencies on all EHS related issues.
  • Implement and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
  • Create and support specific action plans to solve identified plant level issues.
