Recruitment Consultant - General Contractors | Commercial Construction | TexasLocation: Fort Worth, Houston TX

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee and make decisions regarding project safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Observe and stop work immediately when conditions pose a danger to life, property, or the environment.
- Collaborate with Safety Director to recommend and implement corrective actions based on policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership on active projects and develop strong working relationships with project staff.
- Serve as the site EHS professional and primary resource for all EHS-related questions, concerns, and improvements.
- Partner with subcontractor safety representatives to ensure compliance.
- Conduct EHS audits, issue violation reports, and enforce immediate corrective actions by subcontractors.
- Investigate and resolve EHS issues on projects, communicating with staff and subcontractors.
- Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and deliver training programs on accident prevention.
- Enforce work practices according to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as contractual requirements.
- Educate and advise project staff on EHS guidelines and policies.
- Ensure all projects are equipped with proper safety signage, fire extinguishers, First Aid kits, and AEDs.
- Collaborate with third-party environmental consultants to maintain compliance.
- Maintain OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping forms.
- Conduct scheduled and impromptu safety trainings and meetings.
- Manage regulatory exposures to prevent citations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of EHS principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Ability to identify potential exposures and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Proven management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to train staff effectively.
- Strong internal and external customer service orientation.
- Minimum of 10 years of safety experience in commercial construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum certifications:
- OSHA 30
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED
