Overview
Senior Supply Chain Planner at Putzmeister America, Inc. in Sturtevant, Wisconsin will be responsible for supply chain planning, including material demand, vendor purchase order management, material master data maintenance, and tactical vendor relations. Develop and maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating and demand forecasting. Identify opportunities for inventory reductions. Review procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.
Maintain and control inventory and vendor on-time delivery metrics. Generate SAP reports to analyze supply chain data and make recommendations for process improvement. Enter logistics-related data into databases. Analyze, calculate, recommend, and maintain master data key planning parameters, including but not limited to material lead time, safety stock optimization, and planning strategies. Communicate inventory and supply plan risks in terms of lead time and capacity constraints for purchased products.
Mitigate production shortages by monitoring stocking levels and aligning supply and demand requirements through order expediting and push out maintenance. Partner with global planning to streamline local data/report understanding and execution, planning practices and intercompany communications. Remotely monitor the flow of vehicles or inventory, using Web-based logistics information systems to track vehicles or containers. Communicate with and monitor service providers.
Contact carriers for rates or schedules. Contact potential vendors to determine material availability. Develop and maintain payment systems to ensure accuracy of vendor payments.
- Monitor and manage material demand, vendor purchase orders, and material master data maintenance.
- Analyze logistics data and generate reports to support process improvement.

- Identify opportunities to reduce inventory and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with global planning and intercompany communications.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field plus three years of professional experience as a supply chain planner, logistics engineer, or related occupation.
- Three years of experience must include three years with each of the following: (1) Supply Chain Management; (2) data analytics; and (3) SAP in manufacturing facility.
- Position also requires at least 2 years of experience with forecasting and inventory management methodologies.
