Cloud Engineer

Genesis
10 is seeking a Cloud Engineer. This is a 6-9+ month contract to hire position located in Brookfield, WI.

• Design cloud solutions using Azure services, such as Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Scale Sets, Azure VDI, etc.
• Implement and deploy cloud solutions using Terraform pipelines, Power Shell, CLI, or other tools.
• Plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems to Azure.
• Optimize and troubleshoot cloud solutions for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Establish monitoring and management capabilities for cloud resources using Azure policies, tags, alerts, dashboards, and logs.
• Create virtual networks with efficient performance and security to handle workloads.
• Provide technical leadership to developers.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud, design, support, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies.
• Hands on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, VDI, Scale Sets, and load balancing.
• Hands on experience deploying cloud assets using Terraform pipelines.
• Strong understanding of IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, load balancing, DNS, and other network protocols.
• Strong knowledge of cloud design patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and connectivity options, including VPN Gateway, Express Route, and load balancing.
• Hands on experience with administrative scripting using Power Shell or Azure CLI is highly desirable.
• Hands on experience running VMWare virtual machines in Azure is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication on and interpersonal skills.
