Senior Data Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Quality Engineer with strong expertise in ETL testing, data validation, and test automation. This role supports the Legal, Risk & Compliance Technology Domain, working closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and other technical partners to ensure data integrity and quality across all development phases. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of SDLC/STLC, data testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Perform data validation, ETL, and Data Warehouse/Datalake testing to ensure high-quality data delivery.
• Analyze data, identify discrepancies, and independently troubleshoot data issues.
• Design and implement data test strategies and automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Write complex SQL queries and work with databases such as Oracle and Netezza.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, UDeploy, or Concourse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, and Partners to ensure testing deliverables are met.
• Lead and mentor a team of data test engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement quality process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and participate in Agile ceremonies.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Expertise in ETL/Data Warehouse/Data Lake testing.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Unix, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Netezza).
• Hands-on experience in test automation using Java-based frameworks.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data platforms like Snowflake.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse, UDeploy).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of IT experience in testing and automation.

• Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with data test automation tools such as iCEDQ.
