Overview

Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SAC‑IT / SAC / CSAC)

, a brand‑new Substance Use Disorder treatment facility
, and we are seeking a licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our growing team.

Our Neillsville Center is a comprehensive, trauma‑informed treatment facility offering DHS 75 and DHS 83 licensed services, including gender‑specific programming for men
, designed to foster sustainable recovery, dignity, and hope.

Schedule & Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Compensation:

  • SAC: $26.00/hour
  • CSAC: $28.00/hour

This is a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position.

What You’ll Do

Under the direction of program and clinical leadership, you will:

  • Provide substance use counseling and/or case management services in residential and outpatient settings
  • Complete assessments, screenings, diagnostics, and referrals (ASAM, SUDDS, DSM/ICD‑10 as applicable)
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
  • Deliver case management and coordinate community, social, and mental health services
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with DHS, federal, and agency standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Serve as a positive role model for clients and families
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training
What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in a human services or correctional field (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Valid SAC‑IT, SAC, or CSAC (or qualifying experience/education for case management)
  • Knowledge of addictions, recovery principles, and AODA regulations
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • 1+ year experience working with a correctional population
  • Experience providing substance use counseling in residential or outpatient settings
